HDR Friday: Mystical Coast
If you been following along HDR Fridays, the last few weeks have always been photos from Hawaii.. I promise I'll switch it up next week. But since that's 7 days from now, here's another one from Oahu :p
Happy Friday folks!
HDR Friday: Anniversary in Paradise
What's the best way to celebrate a wedding anniversary, and the anticipation of the first child? A 'babymoon' in Hawaii would do the trick!
Of course, being greeted with an amazing sunset also provide that extra touch ;)
For those purists/hdr haters out there... look below for a non-HDR photo of the same sunset :)
And, we definitely can't waste a good sunset without taking some maternal photos of my beautiful wife and her baby bump ;)
Happy Friday folks!
HDR Friday: Crystal Cove Sunset
Crystal Cove in Orange County, California has always been my go to spot for seascape photography, there always a minimum amount of people, it's quiet and peaceful. Although I haven't been there for a while, the photos I took there always brings back that tranquility feel...
Happy Friday folks!
HDR Friday: I miss this...
You know that ever so famous phrase "grass is always greener"? Well that's the phrase for my wife and I.
When I took this photo, I was directly over our overwater bungalow deck and there was no effort needed in location scouting, or standing on top of a rocking boat. All I did was sat there on the deck with a cocktail on one hand and camera on another and just wait for the light and color to show. Nonetheless, it was our honeymoon and the sunset was beautiful as you can see, but we were bored being stuck on an island with nothing to do. Yes, it sounds like a first world problem but if you know us, we are the type that are always on the go, action packed type of traveling and this was a change to our habits. Now after 8 months since the trip, we MISS IT terribly!!! We missed the scenery, the fishies, the whole feeling of no worries, no responsibilities and plenty of time on our hand.
So what's the lesson learned? Well, the grass can definitely be greener on the other side, but until you get to that other side, enjoy and cherish everything that you have NOW! So on that note, go out and enjoy the weekend folks :)
HDR Friday : Egress & Ingress
Throughout the 7 day trip, Grand Turk was the only port-of-call that allowed us to stay beyond sunset and I believe during the time of this photo, we are about 15 minutes to docking our cruise ship. So I stood around here for a moment and thought, how would I frame this sunset to be more unique? Empty beach chairs + people leaving the excursion ship + people boarding the cruise liner.. hmm + sunset... SNAP, SNAP, SNAP!
Happy Friday folks!!! If you're interested in obtaining a print of this photo, you can do so here: Prints.RonLimPhotography.com
2012 Caribbean Cruise Extravaganza – Part 3 – St. Thomas & Grand Turk
For a good part of the day we docked on the US soil of St. Thomas, US Virgins Islands. Now why is that relevant you ask?? Well, we finally got data and cell signals on our phones! Days deprived of internet access got us a little antsy, so we pretty much checked-in (4Sq) everywhere, checked our emails, voicemails and facebook ;) I know some people may frown upon it since we're on vacation but after all we are living in a digital age so don't judge! :)
So anyhow, let's check out the views of St. Thomas:
The tourist populated Mountain Top & the World Famous Banana Daiquiri:
Couple hours after sailing off, we saw Puerto Rico in a distance:
Hello Grand Turk!! We spent a good amount of time walking along the beach, and snorkeled a bit.. and witnessed one of the best sunsets yet.
Stay tune for the conclusion of our trip.. a day in Miami! If you missed the previous posts, you can check them out here:

HDR Friday: Twilight
Happy Friday everyone! To celebrate the start of the weekend here's a gorgeous sunset of Puget Sound, taken right by the restaurant that serves my favorite salmon dish, Ray's Boathouse
THE Beach
Solana Beach is "THE" Beach... it's the beach that my fiancee and I went on our first date, and it's the same spot where I propose to her exactly 263 days ago! So couple weeks ago, on our way to San Diego we stopped here for a quick walk down the beach, and some self-portrait (or as we call it our own lil' engagement session).
This shot below is our composite shot.. a quick "before & after" shots will be posted on the facebook page, so make sure you LIKE it and check other out-takes + photos

It's one of those days...
It's one of those days in LA where it's chilly, windy and generally speaking a "monday".. but this gorgeous sunset made the day! Gotta thanks my fiancée for calling me and giving me a heads up to go take this shot! (despite the wind, this was the clearest shot of the batch)
