2015 Favorites : Family & Portrait Sessions

Nothing say lifestyle photography like getting the opportunities to document the commencement of love between two people, start of a new life, celebration of the firsts, and the dynamics of a growing family.

I was fortunate to document all of the mentioned above, and below are some of my favorites from 2015:

There's nothing better than to celebrate a pregnancy with some maternity photos, to document how you feel, the excitement, the anticipation, the joy and the fear of upcoming labor.  Thank you Cindy for being such a trooper to walk all over the park with me. on a warm Sunday morning. Hopefully one day you'll look back at the photos with you baby boy and say "look, you were in my tummy" while thinking "OMG! you were in my tummy!".  Congrats on your baby boy and I wish you a smooth and happy labor! 

2013 - Portrait & Family Session Favorites

2013 has been one hectic year.  Aside from engagements and weddings, I never really got to blog any of the portraits and family sessions.  So to make up for all the lost blog posts, here are few of my favorites from the portrait and family sessions (I'll post my favorite engagement and wedding in couple of days)

Peanut's Baby Shower

Never thought photographing your own baby shower can be this difficult, I don't think I really got into the flow of shooting since I was trying to entertain our guests and help with the setup, next time I'll just hire a photographer instead ;) Anyhow, my wife and I really got to give a huge HUGE thank you to all of our siblings, aka the baby shower committee, who spent so much time and effort to plan this party.  Even though the downfall of rain limited our 80+ guests to be cramped into the house, everyone seems to enjoyed themselves. (I think the mass amount of food helped in this case).

Here are some photos, and we thank you, to all the family and friends who attended the celebration and made it a great party!  We hope you all enjoyed the food and the festivity!  Our lil' peanut thank you all too :)

Lacy Park Family Portrait | The Chu Family | 07.24.2011

Sometime, it takes a little bit of exploring to find a new spot.  Through the magic of internet searching (google/yelp) we found this hidden park within the heart of San Marino, California - Lacy's Park.

This past weekend I got the honor to shoot the family portrait of someone who I've considered as an older brother that I never had.  David had always provide some of the best advices throughout my high school/college years, it doesn't matter if I needed advice on how to pick up girls or career building he's always there to provide wisdom!  So after a decade later and he's married with two beautiful little girls, who loves to call me "Uncle Rhino".   It was an awesome day and session of running around Lacy Park, searching for squirrels, rolling on the grass and goofing around at the playground. =)
